Sketches of trees in the woods

During my excursions in the woods near my home, I like to linger in front of trees to draw their trunks and the volume offered by their sinuous branches. I sometimes take the time to also add an ink wash with a brush for the shadows and lights. So I'm posting a small selection of these ink sketches of trees that I come across in my little country wood. The drawings are made with a fountain pen and a brush on an A4 or A5 notebook, white or gray paper.
