I come out of old sketches made during a 2019 summer hike in Brocéliande, the Landes de Gurwant circuit. On the way to this beautiful walk of wooded paths and airy hills, we discover the Hôtié de Viviane (or Tomb of the Druids), the tomb of the Giants and especially the castle of Trécesson, offering a magnificent medieval panorama of tales and legends. I took the time to make some fountain pen drawings of the castle of Trécesson in my notebook during my picnic break. During the rest of this Brocéliande hike, I also made ink and watercolor sketches of the famous megalithic sites that line the route.
